We're looking at a 6-8 week turn-around time right now.  All custom graphics and
special materials (kevlar and hybrids) will probably add to the wait.

Because FISHY boards are custom,
we'll be in contact a lot.  Email us to
discuss to dimensions and shape of
your board as well as other options.
Once you have decided on a FISHY
Board simply choose your building
materials to begin the process.  Our
prices are like a Chinese menu...It
pretty simple.  We charge $130.00 to
build the board, and then you pay the
material cost from there.  To get your
price just add the basic
Craftsmanship cost, core material,
resin choice, and fabric choice and
you've got your quote!  Simple colors,
logos and splash-type art are free,
but we can always discuss other
options.

ORDER YOUR FISHYBOARD!!!

SurfBoards!
Due to the highly variable
amounts of materials
needed for  surfboards,
please email us for board
quotes.  Generally expect
a $300-$375 price for a
glass/epoxy board. Our
boards include fins.

Fins!
Like our Fishy Fins?  We
can sell you glass-on fins
for your own board.  If
you're local we can glass
them on (or in) for you.

$30 for Single Fin
$60 for Tri-set (side fins
will not be fishy shaped)
Craftsmanship Cost  $130
One, Flat fee is how I get paid.  It works out to about $7 an hour
so obviously this is more hobby then business. The rest of the
cost is up to you. (we don't make any profit on materials)

Core Materials
Divinycell (pvc foam)  $50
Right now we only offer pvc foam because we've not been
impressed with EPS.  Basically its crap.  We are exploring other
options in hopes of something more affordable but we cannot
sacrifice quality.
Urethane Foam (coming soon)
This is a more affordable rigid foam which is still very durable and
will be available to us soon for about half the price of Divinycell.

Resins
Epoxy  $50
The most scratch/ding proof. Least likely to break. Softer then
vinyl giving some mild flex or softer ride.
Vinyl Ester  $50
Better stiffness especially when hot.  We require this as a
laminating layer for carbon or very dark boards to prevent heat
delaminations 'cause those make you cry. MUCH stronger then
polyester which is the industry standard.

Fabrics
Warp (stiffy) E-glass $50
This E-glass has reinforced fibers in the long direction to give
better stiffness then traditional E-glass
S-Glass  $80
About twice the strength of E-glass and stiffness more similar to
carbon fiber.
Carbon (single layers over glass)  $120
Carbon on a budget.  This is actually how MOST other companies
do it...although they may forget to mention it in the description of
their "carbon" board.  This is a very stiff board which can do pretty
much anything.
Carbon (full double layers)  $150
The ultimate in stiffness for maximum coasting ability. The more
stiff the board is, the less energy is lost to the water and the
farther you go.  These easily go for $550 elsewhere and it's what
our team rider uses.
Kevlar Bottom  $100
Bulletproof bottom you say???  Indeed.  Say no more to those
nasty punctures on the bottom.  Very stiff.  Very strong. Very
yellow (yeah it's naturally yellow, see the sun board in our
"boards" section)

Carbon Fiber Stringer  $35
Once you go full carbon there's only ONE WAY to make the board
even more stiff...and it's something you never see in skimboards.
A stringer (just like in your surf board) runs the length of the board
and causes it to have almost ZERO flex. These aren't balsa like a
surf board.  If you want the stiffest board in existence then you
want to add a carbon stringer.
Prices
 We're sorry, FishyBoards is NOT
currently accepting new board orders!

We are slowing our sales because I recently graduated
medical school and will be working full-time as a
interning physician.  We will continue to sell FishyGear,
sponsor riders, and make very small numbers of skim
and surf boards to those who are lucky enough to be
shopping when we have limited time to build.  We will
eventually be at a place where we can increase our
production but that's a long ways off right now.
